This design has virtually become the global BERG AB Тел. (495)-727-22-72, ф. As a result, the contact stress islarge and the oil film brakes down due tofriction.

2 The life becomes shorter. The life is extended due to the absence offriction. Heat generation during high-speed rotation islimited due to the absence of the frictionbetween adjacent balls. The balls do not contact each other. Noisedoes not arise from the metal to metal contact. Balls move smoothly because they arepositioned evenly. The lubricating oil retained between the ballsprovides excellent lubrication and long film contactBallTypical point contactConventional type(Full ball type)New type(With Caged Balltechnology) Linear motion guide Rotary ball bearing2At the time rotary ball bearings were invented, they had no ball cages. This resulted in loud noise duringoperation, a short running life, and did not have the ability to be run at high years later, rotary ball bearings with ball cages were developed. This type was quieter in operation andcapable of high rotational speeds. Although containing less balls, it provided exellent running life andcontributed to the major success of rotary history of the needle bearing revealed how quality improved through the use of ball cages.

3 Balls, attheir point of contact, slip against each other in opposite directions and at twice the speed of each of theirrotation. This resulted in severe wear, loud noise, and a short running life. The massive pressure from themetal to metal contact and slip between the balls also caused the oil film to break , balls and ball cage contact each other over a large surface area and at half the relativevelocity. This prevents the break down of oil and provides for quieter operation, higher rotational speeds, longer running life and extended BERG AB Тел. (495)-727-22-72, ф. (495)-223-30711At , we utilized our many years of experience along with innovativemanufacturing techniques to develop the new Caged Ball Technology, andwe have built this technology into the new generation of smooth-running main features of the new LM guides are as 2 Ball circulating sectionFigure 3 Grease pocketFigure 4 FrictionGrease pocketGrease pocketHigh bearing stressdue to point contactExtremely low bearing stress due to the contact between the ball cage and balls3 The grease circulates withthe aid of a ball Noise and Favorable SoundQualitySince the balls move in an orderly manner due tothe presence of the ball cages, the metallic soundproduced by collision between adjacent balls iseliminated, thereby resulting in low noise levelsand favorable sound service life, long-termmaintenance-free operationAdjacent balls, separated by the ball cage , do notrub against each other and produce friction.

4 As aresult, the balls are not subject to wear and tear. Inaddition, the grease retention has been enhanced, providing long service life, long-term maintenance-free high-speed performance Caged Ball LM Guides exhibit excellent high-speedperformance through reduced heat generation dueto lower bearing stress and half the ball contactvelocity. The life of the balls is also prolonged dueto the elimination of the friction and wear betweenadjacent smooth movementSmooth movement with less variation of torque canbe obtained as the balls are lined uniformly BERG AB Тел. (495)-727-22-72, ф. (495)-223-3071 Less variation of rolling resistanceType SHS is equipped with ball cage that uniformly arranges the balls. This enables the balls to move in astraight line without meandering when they enter the block. The balls can move smoothly regardless of themounting position, decreasing variation of rolling resistance and enabling a high degree of accuracy to beachieved.

5 Noise level dataType SHS has ball-circulating sections made of resin molded in the block. This structure eliminates metallicnoise caused by balls contacting the block. The use of a ball cage has also eliminated metallic noiseproduced by balls hitting each other. Thus, type SHS operates quietly even at high speed. In addition, a ballcage is effective in preventing balls from rubbing against each other, resulting in low heat generation and asuper high speed level (dBA)Comparison of the noise levels of SHS35LV and HSR35 LRSpeed (m/min) of the noise levels of SHS35LV and HSR35LR(Speed : 50m/min)Frequency (Hz)01020304002000 4000 6000 8000 10000 12000 14000 Noise level (dBA)HSR35 LRSHS35LV50 Results of measurement of variationin rolling resistance (SHS25LV)Results of measurement of variationin rolling resistance (HSR25LR)4005010015020025030035040024681 01214161820 Rolling-resistance value (N)Stroke (mm)Results of measurement of the rolling resistance variation of HSR25LR(Feeding speed : 1mm/sec)Variation range range range value (N)Stroke (mm)Results of measurement of the rolling resistance variation of SHS25LV(Feeding speed.)

(495)-727-22-72, ф. (495)-223-30715 Four way equal load ratingThis LM system can be used for different applications in any positionbecause each row of balls is arranged at a 45 contact angle, so thatthe same load rating is applied to the LM block in four directions(radial, reverse radial, and lateral directions).

7 Automatic adjustment capabilityBecause of the automatic adjustment capability of s uniquecircular arc groove design (face to face/DF), mounting misalignmentcan be eliminated, even when a preload is applied. As a result, precise, smooth linear movement is standard dimensionsThe design of type SHS conforms to that of type HSR, which developed as a pioneer of linear motion systems. This design hasvirtually become the global center of gravity and high rigidityThe rail section has a compact design, resulting in a low center ofgravity and high BERG AB Тел. (495)-727-22-72, ф.
