1 SODIUM BICARBONATE base POWDER . Dry chemical powders are important fire fighting agents as they are stable, free flowing and easy to handle. Various base materials are used to formulate dry chemical powders with single or multiple base . SODIUM BICARBONATE is one of the important base in use since very long time. It is still very popular as it provides highly reliable, cost effective and user- friendly extinguishing medium. SODIUM Bi-carbonate base material is mixed with other ingredients to improve the flow characteristics and expelling properties. POWDER is siliconised to impart excellent water repellency. KV-LITE SBC is suitable for all B & C class fires involving inflammable liquids like petrol, diesel, kerosene, oils, alcohols etc and gases. APPROVALS : Bureau of Indian Standards, Govt. of India specs IS 4308 : 2006. APPLICATION: KV-LITE SBC POWDER is suitable for use in all types of portable fire extinguishers, as well as for mobile extinguishers and fixed installations. Dry propelling agents such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide can be used. COMPATIBILITY: KV-LITE SBC is foam compatible and can be used in twin application system. KV-LITE SBC is compatible with equivalent products of same base material of reputed make. STORAGE & SHELF LIFE: Rigid quality controls ensure KV-LITE SBC withstand extreme climatic conditions. POWDER remains free flowing with no loss of properties throughout the shelf life. It has minimum shelf life of 3 years, considering tropical conditions & if properly stored in original packing. Refer Technical Bulletin for storage condition guidelines. It can be safely stored upto 49 C, with intermittent exposure upto 60 C.

3 The container should be protected from direct sunlight & moisture. ECOLOGY: KV-LITE SBC is environmentally friendly as all the raw materials and finished products are non-toxic. For long period of exposure, mask should be used POWDER should be washed from the skin and eyes immediately after contact.
