The field daywill begin with registration at 8:45 at the office complex at 9:00 an indoor session will be held in the EREC auditorium.

A group of over a dozen supporters,trainers, and owners gathered in the House for Rep.

4 Laurie Funderburk s reading of the owners and trainers in South Carolina are part of a tradition of excellence with an overall economicimpact of $100 million dollars annually, said Funderburk. Resolution 4297 recognized this contribution tothe economy as well as the publicity it brings to the state. Many trainers bring horses to South Carolinafrom early fall through the following spring to prepare for their upcoming races out of state. These visitorsare known as equine Christian, president of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, said the threeClassic days, when the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Oaks, and Preakness Stakes are run, were outstandingfor South Carolina prepared horses. In 2011 so far, South Carolina trained horses finished many national races successfully. Aikenite, ownedby Dogwood Stable in Aiken, won his second straight Grade II victory in the Churchill Downs earnings stand at $688,635. In the Kentucky Oaks, a race specifically for fillies, the top two finisherswere trained in Camden.
