2 Kings Schools has been a leader in school safety procedures over the past many years with safety plans, procedures, staff training, and practice drills. We have a strong relationship with area law enforcement and fire departments. We continue to review our practices and make improvements as needed. Thank you for entrusting your most precious gift(s) to us each day. The safety of our students is our highest priority. SUPER SATURDAY PROGRAM Attached is information about the Super Saturday program that is being of-fered through PAGE (Parent Association of Gifted Education). Registration is now open for the spring session. MARCH MADNESS IS COMING SOON!! The best night at SLE will be here soon! We throw back the castle doors for an after-dinner festival of fun! Come ready for dessert, games, face painting, tattoos, dancing, and the best silent auction in the land! More info will be coming from the PTO.

4 **Dinner will not be served this year.** We will have an epic Bakery Bar for sweet treats. Please have dinner before you come! To sign up for volunteer spots: We need help before, during, and after the event. Community members, high school and junior high students are also welcome to volunteer. 2 WORLD OF SPANISH Wednesdays! Changes to after-school transportation will not be made without a note turned in at the beginning of the day. Phone calls and emails will not be accepted.

5 This is a district-wide policy in the Elementary buildings. We do this for the safety of your children. Another district policy is that students may not ride home on a bus different than their usual bus. This is due to the number of students that ride each bus. We have to guard against overcrowding. Kings Preschool, located in the Kings Educational Center in Kings Mills, is now accepting registrations for the fall 2018-2019 school year.

6 Class Offerings include: Preschool for 3, 4 & 5 year olds. 2-day, 4-day or 5-day based on the child s age Childcare for Preschoolers: Full time child care is also available for children enrolled in the Preschool pro-gram. Curriculum is based on the Ohio Early Learning Development Standards for preschool education as well as the philos-ophy of the Kings Local School District. SPRING TESTING DATES Spring AIR testing for Third and Fourth Grades will be held April 9-12 and April 16-19. Pre-approved absence requests for those grade levels will be denied during those dates.

This would be an easy dinner night and easy way to support an awesome school. FOR FLYING KNIGHTS Flying Knights needs YOU! Please help our 3rd and 4th grade students (Mrs.)

9 Allen tracks 2nd grade) keep their hearts and minds healthy and help them count laps as they run around the track during recess. We need a LOT of volunteers to make this a success so feel free to share the link. It only takes an hour of your time and is a fun thing to do with the kids! Meetings last about an hour, but you can come as your schedule allows - we are pretty casual and just happy to see new faces! *Meetings are the second Tuesday of each month (through May).
