2 Q2. A. How many cars can I have? You are allowed a maximum of 2 cars through the scheme at any one time. This maximum is in addition to any business needs Company Cars you may have. Q3. A. I am a business needs company car driver; can I still join the SRM Drive scheme? Yes. SRM Drive is totally separate to the business needs car scheme and cannot be used as a substitute to your business needs car. Q4. A. I am a Company Car driver or receiveeffic a cash allowance; can I still join the SRM Drive scheme? Yes. SRM Drive is totally separate to the company car / cash allowance scheme. Q5. A Does this impact my cash allowance? There is no impact to your cash allowance. Any reduction for SRM Drive will be taken from your total benefit salary. Q6. A. I am a company car driver, should I hand back my company car to join the SRM Drive scheme? In the majority of instances being in the company car scheme is more beneficial than taking a SRM Drive car as a large element of the car cost is covered under the company car scheme including any excess mileage charges due at the end of the contract.

3 Tax relief is available on any additional contributions made by an employee to the cost of cars in both the Tax efficient scheme and the business needs scheme. However, there may be national insurance advantages arising from a Tax efficient which are not replicated in a business needs car scheme. Neither Lex Autolease or Sir Robert McAlpine Limited are able to advise on individual cases. Careful consideration should be taken to review the costs and levels of responsibility with both schemes when making a decision. Q7. A. Will I own the vehicle? Not during the term of the Agreement. At the end of the agreement, you will have the opportunity to purchase the vehicle which you can arrange directly with Lex Autolease. Q8. A. Can I get a SRM Drive car on behalf of a family member or friend? Yes, although under the Colleague Sustainable Cars insurance policy, you are automatically covered for use in connection with Sir Robert McAlpine Limited s business travel. Your family member or friend is only covered for social, domestic, pleasure and commuting.

4 Remember to check the age eligibility criteria for the insurance when adding a family member or friend as this may impact the car choices being available. Q9. A. Will a credit check be carried out if I sign up for the scheme? No personal credit checks will be undertaken. Through the scheme your car is provided to you by Sir Robert McAlpine Limited through an arrangement between Sir Robert McAlpine Limited and Lex Autolease. Q10. A. Can I smoke in my SRM Drive car? Smoking is not permitted in a SRM Drive car. Q11. A. I have just joined the company. Can I order a car? You will be eligible to participate in SRM Drive if you are a permanent employee who has completed 6 months service with Sir Robert McAlpine Limited. Q12. A. Who administers the scheme? The scheme is administered by Lex Autolease. Q13. Why did we select Lex to administer our scheme? The selection criteria, among others, was upfront cost, selection of cars, cost of lease, terms & conditions ( early termination fees), user experience and support services. What is included in the scheme? SRM Drive includes comprehensive insurance and full maintenance, covering routine vehicle servicing, replacement tyres, road fund licence (road tax), MOT, breakdown cover and accident management for the length of the agreement. Q2. A. What breakdown cover included? The following services are provided by the AA: Roadside At Home Recovery Onward Travel Q3.

6 A. How do I arrange installation of a charging point? Prior to taking delivery of vehicle, you must consider the appropriateness of having a domestic charge point installed at your home. Please refer to the Scheme Guide for further details. Q4. A. What is included within the motor insurance? For all motor insurance frequently asked questions please review the insurance section. Q5. A. What is the length of the contract? All contracts are set at 24/30/36 months and the contract will start upon receipt of the car. Q6. A. Can I select any vehicle? The choice of cars is restricted to Hybrid and Electric vehicles only. Q7. A. How much will my salary be reduced by if I participate in the scheme? The amount by which your salary is reduced is dependent on your choice of vehicle. For information on how Tax efficient scheme works please refer to the SRM Drive Scheme Guide > How it works. Q8. A. Will the price increase on my SRM Drive car on an annual basis? The cost of your car will remain the same, however, if there is an increase to the VAT rate, then this will increase the monthly reduction in your salary.

7 If there is a decrease to the VAT rate, then this will decrease the monthly reduction in your salary. Please note - Company Car Tax may increase each year and will be reflected in changes to your tax code. The tax values shown the Lex Autolease quoting system are based on tax legislation and rates as well as published vehicle information applicable at the time of quotation and may be subject to change. Further guidance can be obtained from the HMRC website ( ). Q9. A. Are second- hand cars available? Only new vehicles will be available through the scheme. Q10 A. Can I part exchange my current personal car within the scheme? No. You will not be able to part exchange any vehicle under the scheme. Can I add additional extras on my car selection? Yes. You can select these while you are quoting. For example metallic paint may be added as an optional extra. Q12. A. What if the optional extras I want to add are not listed under the car selection? Any optional extras which are not displayed on the Lex Autolease quoting system can be requested by contacting the Lex Autolease Customer Services, who will advise on whether the option is available, obtain prices and add these to your quotation.

8 Q13. A. What mileage do I include when making my selection? The scheme allows you to choose a mileage which best suits you. It is important to be as accurate as possible when selecting your anticipated mileage because if you exceed this at the end of your selected term you will incur an excess mileage cost based upon a pence per mile rate. If you want to arrange a test Drive it is recommended that you speak to a local dealer. Q18 A. What determines the cars which are available to me to quote? The system will show all the cars available to quote at a given point in time which not only meet the ULEV definition but also the insurance criteria around car insurance groups. Periodically some cars may not be available to quote as a result of an impending change from manufacturers. Please note also that the age of the youngest driver which is added to the driver nominations list will also determine the cars available for you to quote on. Please refer to the Insurance section for further details. Q19 A. Are there any manufacturers who have any special offers?

Will I need to complete any paperwork when ordering my car? An order pack will be issued to you containing the following items: Order Checklist Order Confirmation Form Payroll Instruction Form Scheme Terms & Conditions The Order Confirmation and Payroll Instruction forms must be checked, completed and signed before returning to Lex Autolease Customer Services. When signing these forms, you will agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions and the Rules in these FAQs. Please note that your order will not be processed until all the necessary paperwork has been completed and received. Q2. A. Can I add a personalised number plate to SRM Drive car? Personalised or cherished number plates can be added to your SRM Drive car; you should contact the Lex Autolease Customer Services for further details as you will be responsible for the costs involved with transferring the plate on and off the car.
