6 I m just wondering about the Church restoration? When do we start the project? A. Our sincere hope is to begin the work on the Church in the next week. Permits are being sought as I write you this response to your question. The two projects ( Church and Academy) will be going on at the same time. Our desire is to have all the work completed before next summer. Thank you to our neighbors for their patience and understanding. Thank you to all who are making this work possible. 7 Attention St. Kevin Senior Club Members Our first meeting of our senior club will be on Tuesday, September 12th, from 1:30 to 4:30 in the Msgr. Finnerty Parish Center. We are having a trip to Empire City Casino on Wednesday, September 27th. Your cost is $25 and you will receive the package of the day. For information and reservations, please call Sam at 718-762-3256. In observance of Labor Day, the Rectory Office will be closed on Monday, September 4th. The office will reopen on Tuesday, September 5th.

8 Have a happy & safe Labor Day weekend! The Girl Scouts will sponsor a Defensive Driving class to be held on two Tuesday evenings, September 26th and October 3rd, from 7 to 10 in the Parish Center Kitchen. You must attend both classes. Upon completion, you will receive a Green Cross Certificate, good for a 10% discount off your insurance for 3 years and point reductions.
