In this week when we gather for Thanksgiving, what are some of the things or people that you rejoice in?Today the Holy Year of Mercy comes to an end and Pope Francis urges us not to fall into indifference but to become active instruments of mercy. The Holy Father asks us to reflect on the corporal works of mercy that call us to visit the sick and the imprisoned. As Christians, the Pope said, we are always called upon to bring God s mercy and its redemptive power to our brothers and sisters in I head North to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family, my heart is filled with Gratitude for all the blessings I experience with my faith family.

We are grateful for their service to our parish. I am so very grateful for the many folks in our parish who like Patty and Kyle are so generous in giving vitality to our faith community by the sharing of their time, talent and Day truly holds a spiritual significance for us who try to live the spirituality of stewardship every day. Thanksgiving is a day that makes us take notice of the fundamentals of stewardship and the importance of having a grateful heart. I ve always believed that the best way to begin the day is by celebrating the Eucharist (the Greek work for Thanksgiving).)))))))))))))))))))
