All electrical appliances have one thing in common they needminiature ball bearings in order to function. So in 1932 the company successfully became involved with smallcomponents and created a spin-off company named RMB[Roulement Minature Bienne]. In 1969 a RMB miniature ball bearing was on the first mannedmoon landing also a big step for 1971 RMB acquired MKL-Miniature-Kugellager GmbHLeutkirch.
Together they gained significant market 1979 RMB produced an annual quantity of 2 million ballbearings and by 1986 approached the 3 million 1994 RMB established an assembly plant in Roznov, CzechRepublic, the Silicon Valley of Eastern December 2001, under the name of myonic , RMB hasdeveloped into one of the world s leading suppliers in the design, engineering, manufacturing and assembly of high-precision ballbearings and system , the company coined the phrase, myonic more than a bearing We started out small and have developed into a major market leaderOriginal size UL 103 Xmyonic numbering system2more than a bearingUL 3006X-48-A5P-6/10 ULKZ RKF 6190X-237HG-P4P-2/5 ULKU 8012X-48-A9P-2/10RA 4012X-257HP-A7PR referenceMaterialFeaturesDuplexedbearing sBall cagesPrecision gradeRadial playTypes listed Example :UL=type3006=basic size ofbearing bore in 1/32 of aninch or in millimetersfor metric 440 C Stainless suffix is requiredfor chrome steel AISI52100> page 6, 1 closure 1 closure, flanged side.

Myonic achieves this cleanliness by: Complete temperature and humidity control and air fil-tration of all production departments. Ultrasonic cleaning of all components after each stageof manufacture. Cleaning of all component parts by our special meth-ods, just prior to assembly. The assembly of bearings in class 10,000 clean roomsunder class 100 laminar flow benches. Strict observation of clean room procedures for all per-sonnel working therein. The cleaning of assembled product by processes spe-cially designed and perfected by myonic for miniaturebearings. The use of special filtered lubricants. The packing of finished bearings in clean pouches ortubes, hermetically examples give an indication of the effort myonicmake to supply their customers with bearings to the high-est degree of cleanliness. Our customers also need to main-tain this attention to detail.
This may be achieved byobserving the following points: All mating parts must be manufactured to correct tol-erances as recommended in this catalog . The surface finishes of these parts must be satisfactoryfor the application in question and all componentsmust be free of burrs, corrosion, etc. Any cleaning prior to final assembly should be doneoutside of the assembly area, with special attentionpaid to ensure the cleaned parts do not become con-taminated during the transport process to the assemblyarea. The bearings should be assembled in a space arrangedfor this purpose and separate from other should, if possible, conform to clean room standards ,with a dust free atmosphere and temperature and hu-midity control. Machining should not be done in thesame room. The personnel employed in the assembly of miniaturebearings should be subject to special rules of cleanli-ness.
It is normal practice to equip them with coverallsor gowns and headdress of special non-fibrous mate-rial. It should be strictly forbidden to smoke, eat, wearmakeup, etc. within the confines of the clean room. Bearings should remain in their protective packaginguntil just prior to assembly. If the package contains sev-eral bearings, it should be opened in such a way thatonly one bearing may be taken out at a time. Bearings should be handled with tweezers or other spe-cial tools. One should never touch high precision minia-ture bearings with fingers unprotected by rubber orplastic finger cots or , the more demanding the end application, themore stringently the guidelines above need to be than a bearingResearch & Development / Engineering6more than a bearingMyonic supports the customer at a very early product deve-lopment stage with a highly qualified engineering team andthe most modern equipment including laboratory, manu-facturing and assembly.
A dedicated and extremely flexibleprototypemanufacturing cell provides short consistently high quality is achieved by manufacturingcritical components inhouse, and our semifinished comp-onent storage enables us to provide the highest flexibilityand the shortest lead times in the market. The manufacturing area is located in a climate controlledenvironment, with the assembly in cleanrooms up to class1000. We also offer our assembly competence as a service toa wide range of customers, with the keyword being: Lowcost assembly .Myonic evolves continuously through the development ofstrategic partnerships with market leaders and is thus theinnovation partner for system solutions that are on the edgeof technology with the slogan: myonic more than a bearing High-precision component production Clean-room assembly Monitoring and measuring facilities The markets are changing and we continue to consistently evolveMaterials for rings7more than a bearingAt myonic, all raw material batches used to manufacture every ball bearing component are inspected by the materiallaboratory manned by metallurgical and chemical engineers.
This includes materials for rings, balls, cages, shields andseals. Each batch is analyzed and classified by its grain structure, homogeneity and microscopic assure the best raw material, myonic uses vacuum degassed steel and in many cases, double induction melted vacuumdegassed steel. These steels are able to meet the highest degree of cleanliness and uses many different steels able to meet customer specific needs. Please contact our sales and technical engineersfor assistance in selecting the correct material for your customized - DIN - AISI 440C This is the Standard material used mainly where corrosionresistance is an issue. The heat treatment of this materialensures a good hardness of 61 HRC, together with acorrosion resistance property. X65Cr13 - DIN myonic introduced this stainless steel material many yearsago, due to the particular microstructure of the grains.
Testsat our internal R&D laboratory have shown that thismaterial can, in many cases, ensure an improvement in thefinal noise level of the bearings, without any disadvantagein the corrosion resistance properties compared to the AISI440 C. 100Cr6 - DIN - AISI 52100 This chrome steel material, known also as bearing steel, isoverall the most widely used material for manufacturingbearings of any size. Its composition corresponds to theAISI 52100 Standard and assures a good uniformmicrostructure with a final hardness after heat treatmentof 62 HRC. This material is Standard for RMB thrust 1 - DIN This stainless steel contains a significant amount ofnitrogen, which generates, together with the availablecarbon, a grain structure, which contains homogeneouslydistributed microglobular carbonitrides. The chromiumcontent ensures corrosion resistance.
