Article Subsurface Investigation Information pertaining to subsurface exploration, boring, test pit locations, and other preliminary investigation may appear in the Contract Documents, or be available at selected locations for review by the Bidder.

10 While such data will have been collected with reasonable care, there is not expressed or implied guarantee that conditions so indicated are exact or entirely representative of those actually existing. The Bidder shall make his or her own interpretation of results of such investigations and satisfy himself as to the conditions to be encountered. Article Materials and Inspection Representative samples of all materials proposed for use under these SPECIFICATIONS shall be submitted to the Engineer for testing. The Contractor shall submit these materials at his own expense. Material shall not be used until it has been approved by the Engineer.
