7 Lk 12:49-53 The Sanctuary Candle in the Chapel burns this week in memory of Shane Daniel Williams at the request of Claire Kersey The Sanctuary Candle in the Church burns this week in memory of Ozzie Miller at the request of The Miller Family AFIRE~ Active Faith Implementing Relief in the Epidemic AFIRE is a faith-based movement designed to bring education, healing, hope, resources, advocacy and transformational action to families and communities struggling with addiction. The St. STANISLAUS Parish chapter of AFIRE is working to help address the concerns and needs of our parishioners and community in this battle against the epidemic of addiction. Please join us at our next meeting on Monday, August 8th, at 7pm, in the Parish Center. We all know someone who has been touched by addiction. Through AFIRE we will combine our individual gifts and create a powerful witness of the love, compassion, and mercy of God the Spirit that dwells within us.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be using the services of GreenDrop to support their clothing drive. Look for the GreenDrop truck in the parish parking lot where an attendant will be available to assist you with your donations. Please place your donations of usable men's, women's and children's clothing in plastic bags or boxes. Household items such as: kitchenware, games/toys, small appliances under 50 pounds, electronics, sporting goods, books, CDs & videos are also accepted.

Your grief journey can be overwhelming or even confusing at times. The Bereavement Ministry of Mary Mother of the Redeemer and St. STANISLAUS parishes is here to help you, guide you, and prayerfully support you as you heal. Please join us for our August sessions to share your grief story. There will be a morning session at Mary Mother of the Redeemer on Thursday, August 11th, from 10am-11:30am in the Matthew Walsh room of the Parish Annex. There will be an evening session at St. STANISLAUS on Thursday, August 18th*, from 7pm-8:30pm in the Parish Center.
