KSC : Completed and graduated from Senior High School at St Mary's Rosebank College, Downtown. Achieved high distinctions for Biology, Geography and Chemistry. KSC : Successfully completed a four year internship (apprenticeship) with Barney's Landscape Centre- Downtown 2009-2011. Key Selection Criteria 2: KSC : As detailed in my resume, I have had three years experience in the landscape industry at Barney s Landscape Centre.

2 During my time held in this position my main responsibilities were client consultations and liaising with gardening staff to ensure that projects were delivered on time and within the budgets set. I was also involved in the design of gardens working in small teams to create gardens built to specifications. My work involved extensive landscape design theory and principles combined with practical experience with turf, sand and mulch, stone panels, concrete and retaining walls. KSC : I am willing to undertake further training to develop my career. As an experienced horticulturist I am aware of the need to up skill and become a lifelong learner to keep current and up to date with industry changes and advancements. I also enjoy working in an environment that values my professional development and training.

3 Lifelong Careers ABN: 56328375130 All Rights Reserved Page 2 KSC : During my employment with Barney s Landscape Centre and Full Bloom market gardens I became experienced with various pieces of gardening equipment including; hedge trimmers, trowels, wheelbarrows, shovels, and chemicals used for weed and pest control. I am also currently licenced to operate a backhoe. KSC : My main attraction to working in landscape gardening is the opportunity to work outside, in small groups, or at times, alone, and also having client interaction. I believe that a role in landscape gardening and design offers the perfect combination of office, administration and physical work. KSC : In my previous landscape gardening role with Barney s Landscape Centre I enjoyed the variety of working autonomously and as part of a small team.

4 While working alone offers great time to concentrate and focus, working on a team also provides an excellent environment which encourages interaction and information sharing which is ideal for learning new ideas and enjoying working on a project together to satisfy client needs. KSC : In my previous roles held in landscape gardening I have always communicated well with clients, management and staff. I have always demonstrated an ability to understand clients needs and convey this to staff and management. I am able to use this understanding to find the best outcomes for the client and business. I am familiar working with people from diverse backgrounds and good at conveying ideas and giving feedback. KSC : My computer skills could be described as intermediate to advanced.

5 I am able to use a wide range of software applications and learn quickly when required to learn a new program. I am able to create documents such as reports and spreadsheets and I am also familiar with the use of social media platforms and tools for marketing and advertising products and services. KSC : During my studies and work experience I have learned about hundreds of plant varieties and which plants thrive in specific environments. Whilst employed at Barney s Landscape Centre I was involved in the project management of several small, medium sized and a few large projects such as the Downtown Golf Course.

6 I am familiar with the environmental and legal requirements of working in residential areas within the council s jurisdiction. KSC : My level of physical fitness is appropriate for the job required. I don't have any pre-existing medical conditions and am fit and healthy to work outdoors in the various environments as required. KSC : Demonstrated examples of completed projects include the Downtown Golf Course, Downtown Hotel/Motel, Downtown Racecourse, the Downtown Botanical Gardens and numerous residential landscape developments which are available in a portfolio available for your viewing. These projects varied in size and complexity but all required project scoping, procurement of materials, progress reporting and delivery of project within time and budget constraints.
