1 STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE The trailers, trucks and prime movers listed in the schedule (overleaf) are being maintained by the Company in accordance with Standard 8 of the Mass Management module of the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS), namely that their suspension systems have been maintained and replaced according to appropriate specifications and codes as identified in the schedule. For each vehicle/trailer listed, the company has met the requirements for: 1. Documentation of the specification for the suspension of the vehicle/trailer, including certification under VSB 11 if the unit has Road Friendly Suspension.

A documented instruction detailing when the suspension is to be checked and the basis for the requirement (ie: refer to the manufacturer s or qualified mechanical engineer s specifications of time and/or distance and in accordance with the ARTSA Air Suspension Code as appropriate), by whom the check is done and how it is to be recorded. 3. Documented procedures for recording suspension faults during a journey, how the faults are reported to the maintenance provider, dealing with major or serious faults that may affect the performance of the suspension system as soon as possible (even if the vehicle is away from the home base); and the repair of other faults in a timely manner.

3 4. Documentation of the decision making with respect to suspension maintenance. This is to include the final sign-off of the repair when completed. 5. Evidence that any repairs to suspensions are carried out only by persons either having suitable qualifications or experience to competently complete any maintenance tasks, or working under a qualified supervisor with recent experience. The company would welcome any audit of its systems to validate the above requirements.
