1 Strongwell SpecificationsSection 06600 Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Products and FabricationsSECTION 06600 FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC PRODUCTS AND FABRICATIONSPART 1 - and general provisions of Contract, including General and SupplementaryConditions and Division-1 specification Sections, apply to work of this section includes the following FRP Products & Stairs and Gratings and Structural Ladders & Foam Cored Building OF all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to install thefiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) products as specified material covered by these Specifications shall be furnished by a reputable andqualified manufacturer of proven ability who has regularly engaged in themanufacture and installation of FRP of any component or modification of system shall be made only whenapproved by the Architect or Qualifications.

2 Firm experienced in successfully producing FRPfabrications similar to that indicated for this project, with sufficient productioncapacity to produce required units without causing delay in the addition to requirements of these Specifications , comply with manufacturer sinstructions and recommendations for design of FRP products including connections shall be in accordance with govern-ing building codes and standards as of FRP live loads on grating shall not be less than 100 pounds per sq. ft. 4 Sub-systems and structures shall be shop fabricated and assembled intothe largest practical size suitable for materials and equipment necessary for the fabrication and installation of the grat-ing, plate, handrails, stair treads, structural shapes and building panels shall be storedbefore, during, and after shipment in a manner to prevent cracking, twisting, bending,breaking, chipping or damage of any kind to the materials or equipment, includingdamage due to over exposure to the sun. Any material which, in the opinion of theEngineer, has become damaged as to be unfit for use, shall be promptly removed fromthe site of work, and the Contractor shall receive no compensation for the damagedmaterial or its and match-mark all materials, items, and fabrications for installation and 2 - used in the manufacture of the FRP products shall be new stock of the bestquality and shall be free from all defects and imperfections that might affect the perfor-mance of the finished materials shall be of the kind and quality specified.

6 Fabrication, all cut ends, holes and abrasions of FRP shapes shall be sealed witha compatible resin coating to prevent intrusion of products exposed to weather shall contain an ultraviolet inhibitor.
