1 Student Application for bursary Application 1. PURPOSE The key focus of the PPS Foundation bursary program is to aid financially deserving students who have superior academic achievements. Bursaries are awarded in an effort to assist students financially to cover tuition, accommodation or text book costs for one academic year. The PPS Foundation bursary program is aimed to promote academic excellence to full-time university students, primarily in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math disciplines in order to address the shortage of skills in South Africa. 2. SELECTION CRITERIA The Student must be a citizen of South Africa and have a valid Identity document. Have a valid matric (grade 12) certificate. Student must be registered at a participating South African University or University of Technology.

2 Must have an academic average of 65% and above throughout their academic period. 3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The PPS Foundation does not award bursaries to students that already have other confirmed sponsors which cover their entire academic expenses, unless the alternative sponsor is a loan and not a bursary . If the Student is in contravention of this, the bursary (and funds) will be withdrawn and disbursed to an alternate bursary recipient. All academic results must be submitted to at the end of each academic semester. Once a bursary has been awarded and the Student opts to withdraw from the PPS Foundation bursary program he/she must confirm withdrawal in writing. If a payment has been made after a bursary withdrawal has been confirmed PPS Foundation will request a reimbursement from the University or University of Technology.

3 Any bursary payment made in error OR paid as a result of false information will be recovered from the Student . The bursary award will be paid directly to the institutions account on behalf of the Student . The Application criteria are determined entirely at PPS discretion and PPS reserves the right to change the criteria at any time without prior notice to applicants. PPS Foundation also reserves the right to withdraw its financial aid to successful applicants should it be found at any time that an applicant does not (or no longer) meets the Application criteria or the applicant has breached any of the terms and conditions in any way. Full details of the process and the requirements which must be met for payment will be communicated to successful applicants once a bursary has been awarded.

4 Application forms that are incomplete will be disregarded.
