7 AstatementoftheaverageCombinedScaleFacto r(CSF)tobeappliedtoconvertfromGRIDtoGROU ND distancesmustbeclearlyshownonallsheetsof thedetailsurveyanddesignplans,wherethesu rveycontrolcoordinatesare detail ,groundlevels, DialbeforeyouDig contactwhichmustbesuppliedwithintwo(2) servicesareattheContractor s andsoilcontamination investigationTheContractormustrefertothe projectspecificationforresultsofgeotechn icalandsoilcontaminationtestingthatmayha vebeenundertakenbyTasNetworks. Thisinformationisprovidedforinformationp urposes only. assumesthantheContractorhasundertakenani ndependentevaluationofthegeotechnicalinf ormationandasiteinspectionbyaqualifiedge otechnicalengineerbeforelodginga requirementsAlldemolitionworkistobeunder takeninaccordancewith AS (WorkPlan)ofAS priortocommencementof works:(a)Removal ofallredundantunderground pipes;(b)Removal ofallredundantconcreteslabsandother paving.

8 And(c)Removal ofallredundantfoundationstoaminimumof100 mmbelow of47 SubstationCivilDesignandConstructionStan dardWhereTasNetworks hasadvisedofthepresenceofasbestos,orwher easbestosisidentifiedpriortoorduringthep erformanceofworkonsite,theContractormust complywiththerequirementsofR472616 AsbestosManagementandControlinthe ,excavationand requirementsThefollowinggeneralrequireme ntsareapplicabletoallsiteclearance,excav ationand earthworks:(a)Allsiteclearance,excavatio nandearthworksnecessarytoprovideasuitabl esurfacefortheconstruction,installationa ndfutureoperationandmaintenanceoftheinst allationanditsequipment,mustbe performed;(b) ;(c)Thesitemaybebenchedwhererequiredtoac hievetherequirementin(b).Whereitisimprac ticaltoachievetheserequirementsforagiven siteorpartofasite,practicalalternativesm ustbepresentedtoTasNetworks for approval;(d) owners;(e)Whereasitecontainscontaminated soil,therequirementsfortreatmentofthecon taminatedsoilmustbetakenintoaccounttoens urethatthesoilistreatedinaccordancewitht herequirementsoutlinedinthe EIA;(f)Appropriatestepsmustbeundertakent oensurewaterflowingthroughthepropertywil lnotconveysiltdownstream,eitherthroughdr ainsoroverland,ontoadjacent properties.

10 And(g)Allsubgradeareasmustbetrimmedsotha tthetopsurfaceofthesubgradeisfree ,whichisdefinedasunsuitableforthework, includes:(a)fillornaturalgroundliableto subsidence;(b)containingcavities,faultso r fissures;(c)groundcontaminatedbyharmful substances; and(d)groundwhichisorbecomessoftor unstable andmustbeexcavatedandunlessotherwiseappr ovedbyTasNetworks, removedfromsiteanddisposedofinaccordance withD04/10174 WasteManagement Procedure. Wherenecessary,materialmustbeimportedtor eplaceanyunsuitablematerialandestablishf oundation of subgradeFollowingcompletionofsubgradecom pactionandtrimming,thewholesubgradearea must:Page19 of47 SubstationCivilDesignandConstructionStan dard(a)beproofrolledwithafullyloadedsing lerearaxletruck(MediumRigid).
