The Consecration of Leadership Litany Pastor Davidson: You have accepted the offices and responsibilities to which you have been elected or appointed. You have been called by God and chosen by the people of God for leadership in the church. This is a blessing and a serious responsibility. It recognizes your special gifts and calls you to work among us and for us. In love we thank you for accepting your obligation and challenge you to offer your best to the Lord, to God's people, and to our ministry in the world. Live a life in Christ and make Him known in your witness and your work. Do you promise with the Lord as your helper, to faithfully fulfill the duties of church ministry?

2 Church Leaders: I do. Pastor Davidson: Today we will consecrate the 2019 leaders of the church to serve in ministry. Will you, according to your abilities and opportunities, show good to all, especially in helping to extend the gospel? Will you regularly support the work of the church by giving spiritually and financially? Church Leaders I will support my church amid good and ill report. I will humbly and earnestly seek to live to the glory of God, and to be directed by the Holy Spirit. The Consecration of Leadership Litany Pastor Davidson: Almighty God, pour out your blessings upon these your servants who have been given particular ministries in Your church. Grant them grace to give themselves wholeheartedly in Your service.

3 Keep before them the example of our Lord, who did not think first of himself, but gave himself for us all. Let them share His ministry and consecration that they may enter into His joy. Guide them in their work. Reward their faithfulness with the knowledge that through them Your purposes are accomplished, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen Pastor Davidson To Congregation: Let us rejoice that God provided laborers for the vineyard. Will you do all you can to assist and encourage them in the responsibilities to which they have been called, giving them your cooperation, your counsel, and your prayers? Congregation: I will. Father, we thank You that no weapon formed against our pastor, leaders and church will prosper.

4 Every tongue raised against them will be cast down. Rumors and gossip will be turned aside. We pray that Your presence and peace will keep them, that they will dwell in the shadow of the Most High God, and will be delivered from terror, darts of doubt, and diseases. Set Your angels about them. No power of the enemy shall harm them. We take authority over evil powers of deception, intimidation, and destruction. We bind them in Jesus name, and cast them far from our pastor, our leaders and our church. Father, we pray that Your abundant life would flood and fill their lives. Thank God forevermore!
