READINGS FOR NEXT SUNDAY (July 2nd) 2 Kgs 4:8-11, 14-16a Rom 6:3-4, 8-11 Mt 10:37-42(97) TWELFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME JUNE 25, 2017 Jesus tells us today not to be afraid of anyone. Christ knows that his message and his sacraments bring life to the entire world.

3 Our total joy depends on being totally connected to Christ and not on a particular person or thing. We must do our best as Christians to get people connected to Christ. The best favor we can do for someone is to get them interested into the divine and human person of Jesus. If you are looking for a best seller book please read the bible. It has been on the best seller book list for centuries. Jesus words reinforce common sense and it allows one not to be afraid of what the world proposes. Christ's word also shows us that we have more choices than the world proposes. Please spend some time looking through the word of God. I propose that you go online and type the words, "The Word among us." This booklet will give you the mass readings for every day and it also gives a small reflection on these mass readings. You can also call the rectory and be put on the "Magnificat" prayer booklet list. Br. Jerry really likes this small prayer booklet because it also has mass readings and spiritual reading attached to it.

4 These subscriptions may cost a little money but they are worth it. I know that most of you cannot go to mass everyday but you can read God's word every day. Enjoy the summer. God bless you. Fr.
