Subject Areas Mathematics and English-Language Arts Demonstrated Effectiveness We have tutored more than 300 students. Our students experience an average increase of 65% in English and 85% in Math in pre and post assessments. Program Model One-on-one via the internet We serve students who are English learners and/or receiving special education Services . Program Description We offer 1:1 online tutoring in the home of K-12 students in the subject areas of English, literature and mathematics. Our Tutoring Virtual Environment allows tutors and students to speak using VoIP to work on their lesson. Tutors create competitions for students to determine growth and progress, address problem areas, and modify instruction. In addition, we offer an iPad/tablet and internet connection free of charge to students who do not have devices or access.

2 The materials we use are internally developed in alignment with the state adopted academic standards and the district adopted curriculum. Tutoring is also available in Spanish. We are able to serve low performing students, students with disabilities, English language learners and students in Spanish with equal diligence since our tutors are trained rigorously to be able to assist students with different needs. Program Description !!! 1st Choice Android Smart-Phone Tutoring provides individualized 1-on-1 tutoring Services in English language arts and/or mathematics with an in-person tutor and a Smartphone. We provide each student with the Smartphone and internet access during the tutoring sessions. At the completion of all tutoring hours, the student keeps the Smartphone! Tutoring sessions take place at the student s home, library, or community center. Students choose their own convenient tutoring schedule. Tutoring sessions are available seven days a week. Students learn at their own pace and receive instruction that focuses on specific areas of need in English language arts and/or mathematics. Our tutors have at minimum a bachelor s degree, and many hold California teaching credentials and/or advanced degrees.

5 Bilingual (Spanish/English) tutors are also available. More than 90% of the students who finish our tutoring program show significant improvement in English language arts and/or mathematics.
