Upon returning books, children s literacy skills are developed further by Junior Librarian offering them the unique opportunity to write their own personal review of the book. Both of these features are fun and leave children feeling empowered at the same time! Even the youngest children can easily write reviews about the books they have enjoyed reading at school or at home by using Junior Librarian s Review template, which can be altered to add or remove questions to suit the needs of the children by the teacher or librarian. This could be used with a group in the library, or with a class as part of a composition lesson to help develop vocabulary, spelling & punctuation skills.
