The differences are whether the power distribution blocks are enclosed or not, and whether they areUL1953 Listed PDBs or UL1059 Recognized TBs, which havedifferent minimum spacing requirements.

3 The Table on thispage can assist in the selection of the right series for yourapplication these are important?Assembly short-circuit current ratings (SCCRs) are nowrequired in the 2005 NEC and UL508A Listed IndustrialControl Panels. Marking the SCCR on Industrial ControlPanels (NEC ), Industrial Machinery ElectricalPanels (NEC (A)), and HVAC equipment (NEC (B)) is now required by the National Electrical or TBs not marked with a SCCR are typically one ofthe weakest links and may limit an assembly to no more than10kA SCCR. The PDBFS and PDB Series have increasedspacing required where used in feeder circuits in equipmentlisted to UL508A (UL1059 TBs must be evaluated for properspacings). Also, for building wiring systems, the PDBFSS eries and PDB Series power distribution blocks can be usedto meet the new 2005 NEC requirements in (B) for PDBs in application information on pages **PanelsPanelsULNEC PageULEnclosedSCCR*1 AirUL 508 AUL (B)2 SurfaceBranchFeeder(RequiresCircuitCircu itUL 1953)Series PDBFS3UL 1953 ListedYes YesYesYesYesYesYesPower Distribution BlocksYesSeries PDB9UL 1953 ListedNo**YesYesYesYesYesw/optionalPower Distribution BlockscoverSeriesUL 1059 Recognized16 XXX13 Terminal BlocksNo**YesNo**YesNo**YesNoNDN63-WH-UL ,NDN111-WH-UL,UL 1059 Recognized14002-3-UL,16 Terminal BlocksNoYesNoYesNoYesNoTB300-03SP-ULSele ction Table IP-20 finger-safe under specific conditions, see datasheet page 8.
