9 This 2017-2018 in Professional counseling Program Handbook serves as a guide to help you better understand the program, courses, requirements, policies and procedures, and student rights and responsibilities as of Fall 2017. The faculty consider the handbook to be required reading for all Licensure counseling students, and it should be read in its entirety. Although you are assigned an ONLINE academic advisor when you start the program, it is ultimately your responsibility to know the information contained in this handbook. Review this handbook periodically, and if questions arise, contact your advisor. You can find the contact information for each faculty member listed in this handbook.

10 Because program policies and requirements may change from one year to the next, it is essential that you always refer to the most current handbook as you plan your graduate program, enroll in classes, and arrange for field placements and graduation. Although there is a lot of information contained in this handbook, it may not provide answers to all of your questions. This handbook is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of all LIBERTY UNIVERSITY policies. Therefore, in addition to talking with your advisor and other faculty members, you can access the LIBERTY UNIVERSITY Graduate Catalog at: For information about current UNIVERSITY and departmental policies, please refer to the 2017-2018 Graduate Catalog.
