All students who are here every day, on time, with no early pick-ups, for the entire month will be invited to an ice cream sundae social. (Dr.'s notes will be excused.). 5 Rogers Jacob Teston Evan Hodges Important FSA Information Test Taking Tips for Parents If you are anxious about your child's test, it's ok but try to keep cool around your child, you don't want them to get anxious about their tests too. Encourage your child to do well but don't pressure him/her. You may stress him/her out. It is important for your child to stay relaxed for the test. Mark down test days on your calendar so you and your child are both aware of testing dates. Make sure that your child gets enough sleep on the night before the test.

6 Ensure that your child eats a healthy breakfast and avoid heavy foods that may make him/her groggy and avoid high sugar foods that may make him/her hyper. Make sure that your child gets up early enough so that he/she will be on time to school. FSA Assessment Dates March 1st ELA Writing 4th/5th Grades March 29th ELA Reading 3rd Grade (session 1). April 27th Science 5th Grade (session 2). Reminder: Bay District Schools Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Application for Fall 2015. The Bay District School system is opened for the application for the Fall 2016 Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program. All applications will be taken online. There is 24-hour access to applications on the Bay District Schools Web site at or by going to and clicking on the Pre-K Application icon.

8 Parents who do not have internet access at home may ask for assistance at schools. Public libraries also have internet access. As a last resort parents may apply by calling 767-4201 or 767-4358 between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM CST Monday Friday. Children must be 4 years old, on or before September 1, 2016. Openings are limited. Bay District School Pre-K Program offers the choice of the free three-hour Voluntary Pre-K morning program or a combination of the free Voluntary Pre-K morning program with a paid afternoon program fee ($60 a week).
