4 An extensive range of electrical accessories isalso repulsion breaking methodThe double repulsion method uses a reverse-loop of current (I) flowing inessentially opposite directions (see figure).This creates a repulsion action and results in a greater opening force (Fm) betweenthe fixed and moving contacts. This forcealso assists to rapidly extinguish the arc,thereby causing the moving contacts toopen faster. A faster breaking time isachieved with this contactsfixed contactf e a t u r e12double number of contact coppersFor the NF600 and above circuit breakers,double moving contacts are used instead of a single contact. This additional movingcontact improves the short circuit breakingperformance and reduces contact of the NF seriesThe design of the NF series circuit breakers makes itsuitable to be used in hot and humid climates.
