Telecaster tone mod - SINGLECOIL.COM

Telecaster "tone pot" modification This is a very simple but effective way to change the function of your Telecasters tone pot. Depending on the cap you use, the complete feeling and taper of the tone pot will smooth out and it is getting more effective. As a side-effect the tone will not loose its shimmering highs when rolling back the volume pot. It s very simple to do, you only need a soldering iron to reroute one wire. Give it a try and decide if you like it. Thanks to brother "Fezz Parka" from the TDPRI forum for this cool and helpful mod and the drawing. The red line is what you have to change. (The red wire is normally connected to the lower terminal of the left hand pot, and is moved up to the middle terminal for this mod.)
