The displays are addressablewhich allows for different messages to be transmittedto a variety of the event of anEmergency, the origin of the Emergency Call can beshown on multiple displays, giving the opportunity forthe school staff to respond quickly.
7 Messages can beactivated from consoles or room telephones allowingemergency procedures such as school "lock down"to be activated from any telephone quickly andefficiently. Text messages can be sent from any PCin the facility to message displays in real time. Thestaff member simply types in the message from thekeyboard and sends it to zones of message CORRECTIONFor enhanced timekeeping performance, the systemcan be synchronized using the following threemethods: internet synchronization, a 60 Hz powerline frequency signal, or the external time source of athird-party System ( Master Clock).ROOM TELEPHONE EMERGENCY CALLSIn systems using dialing telephones and roomspeakers in classrooms, a user may place anEmergency call to the Default Console in the schooloffice by dialing a specified number.
8 Once the call isdialed, hanging up the handset will not clear the call,ensuring that the call remains in the System untilanswered. When the call is answered, two way voicecommunications is established between theclassroom speaker, even if the classroom phoneremains off-hook. This insures voice communicationsbetween a classroom and the office in the event of anemergency in a classroom, regardless of the state ofthe classroom Telecor XL Basic Package consists of the cardcage, System power supply, the Audio TerminationPanel (ATP-AX2), Central Processing Unit (CPU-3-XL-MA), Audio Buffer Unit (ABU-3A-MA) and ControlConsole Port (CCP-300-MA).
9 The addition of the appropriate number of IOPI ntercom Station Cards creates a single channelsystem. 10 The systemprovides up to 32 Paging Zones. In addition, pagingannouncements can be made from up to 5 remotemicrophones, each one programmed to page aspecific zone. Remote paging announcements areinitiated either by remote contact closures or dialingup an access code on a console or DTMF phone. APage Exclusion feature allows individual rooms to betemporarily blocked from receiving routine pages,time tones signals and audio programs, whileallowing Emergency pages and intercom calls. Thisis usefull in instances where provisional schoolfunctions such as exams, meetings, etc. are not tobe interrupted. Rooms equipped with telephonesmay initiate a "Do not Disturb" status DISTRIBUTIONUp to 16 different tones can be activated at specifictimes to signal events ( class changes, fire drills).
