INTRODUCTION Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Kochi Refinery (BPCL-KR) is constructing a residential township in their land near kerala high court , ernakulam . FACT Engineering and Design Organisation (FEDO) the engineering consultancy division of the Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), is the Project Management Consultant for the project.

4 The project aspires to achieve highest rating under GRIHA , the green rating offered by TERI under MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy). Sewage treatment plant (STP) based on MBR technology (Membrane Bio Reactor) is proposed for the treatment of waste water generated in the township so as to use the treated water for flushing system of toilets. SCOPE OF WORK The TENDER is invited on turnkey basis for Design, Engineering, supply , Construction, Erection and Commissioning of 120 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) based on MBR technology, to provide treated effluent quality as specified under cl.

5 Of this DOCUMENT with performance guarantee for three years. The schematic P&ID attached with this DOCUMENT is preliminary. However, the successful contractor will be required to submit the Detailed Process, P&ID & Good For Construction (GFC) drawings incorporating the working details. These detailed drawings shall be submitted to Consultants for comments & approval. Vendor has to submit all the technical details for equipments used for operation of plant to the consultant for approval.

6 DATA SHEET SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF WORK 8138 - 12 - DA - 009 PAGE 2 OF 25 R0 FACT ENGINEERING AND DESIGN ORGANISATION 12FT026A/94 All the works shall be carried out as per approved "Good for Construction drawings only. The project involves Design, Construction, supply , Erection, Testing & Commissioning of STP of 120 KLD capacity complete in all respects including all contingent Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, piping & instrumentation works and including operation & maintenance of the system for three years at BPCL Township ernakulam .

7 The TENDER is for turnkey job where it will be the responsibility of the contractor to hand over a completely functional unit complying with PCB norms and with all necessary components. The work shall include but not limited to the following major items: i. Design and engineering of STP to be operator friendly and for the operator s safety, health and hygiene. ii. Design Calculations and drawings shall be submitted to Client/Consultant for approval. Construction shall be started only after approval of GFC (Good For Construction) drawings by consultant.

8 Iii. Design & installation of all civil structures for the system including pile foundation. iv. Getting the required approvals, permissions, NOC from the statutory / government agencies including incurring related expenses. Consent to establish STP has already been obtained by BPCL. Consent to operate shall be taken by Contractor. v. All aspects of quality assurance, including testing of equipment, procurement of materials from approved agencies/suppliers and other components of the work.

9 Vi. Testing of all equipment at shop. Pre-dispatch inspection of equipment shall be carried out by Consultant. Complete interconnecting piping between various units as per piping details including supply of all materials like GI pipes, fittings, all valves, gaskets, flanges, nuts and bolts , necessary pipe supports, etc.

10 , complete vii. Project Management to ensure completion of Project as per timelines. viii. Submission of Operators Manual and training of personnel. ix. Submission of the completion ( as-built ) drawings and other related documents along with a soft copy. x. Making good any defect during the performance guarantee period of three years. Spares for the entire equipments and instruments for three years including labour for replacing all damaged components of STP are also covered under vendor scope vide the performance guarantee.
