2 Today, is Monday, February 10, 2014 and it was -5 degrees below zero F. A week ago we had -35 degrees below zero F, and it has been a long, cold winter here! I have just now completed our HOSTA listings for 2014 . I can hardly wait until Spring to arrive, as I am anxiously awaiting its return! 2013 was a very special year as HOSTA sales were good, tour groups and visits from many old friends and new ones were exceptional! We named over forty new Hostas here of our own, and Dick and Jane Ward named over twenty new cultivars here. These new ones will take years to introduce to all of you, but we find it very interesting and it motivates us to new highs and we look forward to the new year ahead! We are online at and our catalog is available in pdf form and can be viewed or down loaded. The catalog is getting larger each year and is difficult to bind easily, therefore limited copies are available. In reviewing each and every variety, I realize how HOSTA gardening, clump sizes, and gardens themselves change.

3 The HOSTA gardens are continually changing each year. New sports seem to appear all the time. New seedlings jump out at you demanding a name. Many and most Hostas get bigger and better! It is always exciting to find a new HOSTA , especially if it is totally new! Everyone is welcome to visit us anytime! We are open 8:00 to 5:00 , Monday thru Saturday, closed on Sundays and holidays. We welcome individuals, couples, small and large families, garden clubs, school classes, caravans, buses, and group tours. Please call ahead to book your tour and let us know when you are coming. You are welcome to bring along a picnic lunch, as we have several octagon picnic tables located within our display gardens. We look forward to renewing old relationships, and to meet each and every one of you personally. Please check in at our office when you arrive to let us know that you are here. Hopefully one of us can give you a personal golf cat ride and tour. Happy HOSTA Gardening . Van & Shirley Wade - Owners 1.
