The door must be sealed properly in order to prevent water leaks into the vehicle and pROcessThe door-sealing procedure is a 4-step process. be sure to have the following products available: 3M 08984 General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner (or equivalent), Fusor 129 Controlled Flow Seam Sealer and a LORD Fusor 301 Manual Dispensing clean the seam sealer application area with 3M 08984 General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner or Abrade the application area with a scuff pad and assure no bare metal has been exposed.

2 NOte: if bare metal has been exposed corrosion protection must be applied per paint manufacturers recommendations and abraded with a scuff pad prior to applying seam sealer. 3. Apply Fusor 129 Controlled Flow Seam Sealer, or equivalent, per manufacturer s recommendations. 360-degrees of hem flange as identified in illustrations (green line in Figure 1 and Figure 2) Outer weather-strip channel (upper and lower) to the inner door panel as indentified in illustrations (red line in Figure 1 and Figure 2)4. Sealer must completely fill in gap between lower/upper weather-strip channel and inner-door panel at top of the lower weather-strip channels as shown in Figure 3.
