1 The FP&M SETA Bursary Programme - 2016 To Support Needy Learners At Public Higher Education Institutions Universities, Universities of Technology and TVET Colleges Aligned to FP&M Sector ScopeThe FP&M SETA has identified as one of its strategic objectives the need to support learners who have registered for further studies at public higher education institutions in order to ensure that high level scarce skills needs are addressed by work-ready graduates from higher education FP&M SETA has allocated a Special Project Bursary Programme to assist and support deserving students studying FP&M sector related qualifications at public universities, universities of technology and TVET colleges in the Republic of South Of The ProgrammeBursaries for tertiary programmes offered at public higher education institutions are to be made available for the 2016 academic year for undergraduate (Degrees/Diplomas/ BTech or NATED / NCV Programmes ) and post-graduate programmes (including honours, masters and doctoral programmes) in the disciplines of publishing, science, engineering and technology as applicable to the Fibre Processing and Manufacturing Sector Scarce and Critical Skills priorities per the thirteen (13) subsectors.
2 Clothing, Footwear, Forestry, Furniture, General goods, Leather, Packaging, Printing, Print Media, Publishing, Pulp and Paper, Textiles, Wood Products, with preference being given to, but not limited, as indicated below: Qualifying BeneficiariesThe bursaries are available to unemployed learners to a maximum of R 50, 000 (VAT zero-rated) per annum per learner for undergraduates and postgraduates. In the case of individual applications Bursary payments to be made directly to the Bursary scheme is available to students registering for the current financial year (2016) and is restricted to having been accepted for a degree or diploma Programme that fall within the scope of the FP&M SETA scarce and critical qualify for the Bursary , students must be accepted/ registered at public Higher Education Institutions (Universities, Universities of Technology, TVET Colleges).
