But the secret is even a beginner can handle this one! Special note: to efficiently make this QUILT , for each fabric used you ll need 2 strips. Since you'll need 2 of each fabric strip for this QUILT , basic color rolls are your best bet since they have 2 each of 10 different fabrics. WHAT YOU LL NEED: Baby - 49 blocks, 7 x 7 layout, 42" x 42" 20 color strips, 7 white strips 1 (or more for more variety in color) basic color rolls, 1 white scroll print roll Throw - 144 blocks, 12 x 12 layout, 72"x72" 58 color strips, 20 white 3 (or more for more variety in color) basic color rolls, 1 white scroll print rolls Queen - 225 blocks, 15 x 15 layout, 90"x90" 90 color strips, 31 white 5 basic color rolls, 2 white scroll print rolls King - 324 blocks, 18 x 18 layout, 108"x108" 130 color strips, 44 white 7 basic color rolls, 3 white scroll print rolls DIRECTIONS 1.

2 From each set of 2 strips of the same color/print, do the following: a) Cut (6) pieces from one strip b) Cut (4) pieces from the other strip. c) Set aside remaining piece of strip for use in Step 3. Repeat for all sets of 2 strips. Baby, 10 sets Throw, 29 sets Queen, 45 sets King, 65 sets 2. From white strips, cut (3) pieces. Baby, 7 strips Throw, 20 strips Queen, 31 strips King, 44 strips 3. Attach a white piece to each side of the remaining strip piece from step one. (Your leftover strip will be a little longer you can trim down to and add the excess to your scrap pile!) 4. Cut 3-strip segment into (5) pieces. The segment is an inch longer than you need, so if your edges don t match perfectly on either side, you can trim a little off before you start cutting. 5. Create your H blocks you ll get 5 blocks of each fabric set.

3 6. Lay your blocks out alternating them by 90 degrees. Your odd numbered rows will start with an upright H, and even numbered rows with a sideways H. Baby, 7 blocks across make 4 starting with an upright H, and 3 starting with a sideways H Throw, 12 blocks across make 6 of each Queen, 15 blocks across make 8 starting with an upright H, and 7 starting with a sideways H King, 18 blocks across make 9 of each 7. Attach into rows, and attach rows together to complete your top. Baby, 7 rows Throw, 12 rows Queen, 15 rows King, 18 rows BABY 42 x 42 THROW 72 x 72 QUEEN 90 x90 KING 108 x 108 Hope you ve enjoyed this little easy tutorial!
