Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred. Advanced proficiency and skill in using Excel in the creation of (and working within) very complex and complicated spreadsheets is required. 10 RESPONSIBILITIES Performs highly complex (senior-level) accounting work under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Responsibilities may include, but are limited to: Assures the Center s fiscal procedures meet generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); assures general ledger reflects accurate allocation of expenditures and revenues; serves as backup for associate Chief Financial Officer and grant accounts if necessary; budgeting procedures; involvement in the preparation and refinement of monthly financial statements; high level of involvement in the fiscal audits with outside firms.
