1 The Revised Brussels II Regulation Countries to which the Regulation applies Austria latvia Belgium Lithuania Bulgaria Luxembourg Cyprus (Southern) Malta Czech Republic Netherlands Estonia Poland Finland Portugal France Romania Germany Slovakia Greece Slovenia Hungary Spain Republic of Ireland Sweden Italy United Kingdom This is Council Regulation (EC) No 2201/2003 of the European parliament which has effect from 1st March 2005 (the Revised Brussels II Regulation ). The Regulation will be applied to cases of parental child abduction within the European Union and to the enforcement of orders for contact cases or access within the European Union.
