2 Be-ginner Meetings are conducted by an Al-Anon /Alateenmember who understands the Twelve Steps and Tra-ditions. Patience, tolerance, the abilities to listen andto explain our program to families and friends of al-coholics are important qualities for those who con-duct Beginners Meetings. Having two or three otherAl-Anon members present to share their views onquestions that may arise, is a good the newcomers to read the Al-Anon books andpamphlets; point out the benefits of each. Encouragebeginners to share the Al-Anon program of recoverywith their children. A fine way of doing this is todisplay and discuss Al-Anon / Alateen literature.
