Most agreements accept undergraduate and graduate students. Application Fees: $150 exchange application and foreign credential fee can be paid here: Incoming exchange Process: Home University submits nomination of student to UT Dallas before the deadline. If approved, the student will be asked to complete the admissions application and sendadditional documents (official transcripts in English and original language, official Englishproficiency exam score, etc.)

3 If admitted, the student will:oApply for on-campus housing and pay the housing application contacted by the International Student Services Office for additional documentationto issue the DS-2019 (financial documents, passport, request form, etc.)oRegister for international student orientation: under 22 years of age, student must receive a meningitis vaccination. Upon receipt of the DS 2019, student will obtain a US visa and make travel exchange students coming to the US to study must complete the immigration document process. See the International Student Services Office website for information: Housing Arrangements are made for exchange students to live on campus. Details of available housing options for the 2017-2018 year will be announced soon. See details and pricing at There are unfurnished apartments on the UT Dallas campus, but they are in high demand, and are not guaranteed for exchange students.

4 If students wish to live off campus, which are mostly unfurnished apartments, they must find and arrange them on their own. Living expenses include housing, food, books, transportation, and other costs. It is estimated that exchange students spend approximately $8,000 per semester. 5 A typical schedule of the first week on campus is: Day 1: Arrival, move-in to housing, take TB test if possible Day 2-3: Attend international student orientation, take TB test, submit any required admissionsdocuments, purchase items for housing Day 4: Submit copies of immigration documents Day 5: TB test hold removed, meet with academic advisor, register for classes Day 6-10: Get student ID and DART pass, pay fees, attend the international student conference andother campus activitiesInsurance Every international student is required to have health insurance. The majority of international students must take the University s health insurance plan, which costs approximately $900/semester. Waivers can be requested for students who bring government-sponsored health insurance plans that meet minimum coverage requirements and request a waiver before the deadline.

Course Information Students may choose any open classes that they are eligible for in the course book: There is a wide variety of courses available for both undergraduate and graduate students. All international students must be registered in a full course of study (12 credits for undergraduates, 9 credits for graduates). New international students cannot register for classes until they have arrived on campus and have removed the holds on their account (TB test, international orientation, etc.).
