And now we hope that their availability in a book format w ill promote their circulation and influence even further for copyright o f this m aterial is not intended to curb its circulation, but to insure the integrity o f the text. Since there are unscrupulous publishers, who m utilate (add to, delete, disrupt, and corrupt) original texts and fraudulently publish their distorted text as being the original w ork o f the author, it is necessary to require anyone interested in reproducing any o f the articles to obtain w ritten permission.

This is to insure that any and all articles are reproduced in their entirety, w ithout addition, subtraction, or disruption; and w ith credit to the hope that you, the reader, w ill find the articles interesting, helpful, and inspiring enough to provoke a desire to engage in a more thorough examination o f the word o f God. Even as you read, the articles w ill be more complete if you read all the Scriptures w hich are referenced. Jesus said: If ye continue in m y word, then are ye m y disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

78W h at M ust I Do To Be Saved?.. 79 The Book of L 80 A wise man w ill hear, and w ill increase learning; and a man o f understanding shall attain unto wise counsels - Proverbs 1:5------------------------Doing Righteousness-------------------------Ri ghteousness is the state or condition of being right w ith God. W h at is right is not subject to every man s designation or definition. W hat is right w ith God, God him self designates. We can know w hat this righteousness is by reading the revelation that God has given us.

In Romans 1:16-17, God, through Paul, states that in the gospel of C hrist is revealed, or made known, the righteousness o f God. This refers not to the fact that God is righteous, which is true, but to a state o f righteousness according to God, which He prescribes in the gospel: The just shall live by faith. On the other hand, there is a righteousness that man prescribes, which if one lives by he w ill fail to be right w ith God. (Rom. 10:3) If one w ould know how to achieve that state or condition which is right before God, he must study the Bible, the gospel of , m any are ignorant o f the gospel o f Christ .

T h ey have their own ideas about w hat is right and pleasing to God. Acting upon their own evaluations, they perform those Things which they suppose make them right before God. O f course, outside o f God s word they have no assurance that their conclusions are correct. A w ay m ay seem to be right yet not be right. There is a w ay which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways o f death. (Proverbs 14:12)The Jews fell into this trap. T hey had a zeal o f God, and tried to establish a condition approved o f God, but they failed.

Failing to subm it unto the righteousness of God, the gospel, they went astray. (Romans 10:1) Jesus told them that in vain they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of m en. (M atthew 13:9)In other words, more is involved in worshiping God than a mere desire to please God and be accepted. Not everyone who says Lord, Lord, w ill enter the kingdom of heaven, Jesus says. (M atthew 7:21) Faith in Jesus as Lord is not enough. Even commendable deeds to his honor, in and of themselves are not enough.

Jesus said, But he that doeth the w ill o f m y Father which is in heaven. In Judgm ent, m any w ill plead their cases, how they did so much to His honor, only to hear Jesus say, Depart from me. I never knew you, ye that work iniquity. Some people are deluded into thinking that they can be right w ith God1w ithout obeying Him. Some Think they can know God even when disobedient. But this cannot be. (1 John 2:3-4) Let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous (John 3:7). If one thinks he is righteous while doing unrighteousness, he deceives you righteous?
