9 As a condition of entry into THORNTON Le Dale Show all such persons are themselves required to comply fullywith the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all other current, relevant legislation and/or established guidance relating tosafety at public events, including THORNTON le Dale Show & Sports Society s rules and regulations, this Health & Safety Policyand any legal obligations placed upon Society is committed to the highest attainable standards of health and safety for all of those persons listed above. To enablethese standards to be achieved and maintained the Society will endeavour to ensure that all applicable statutory requirementsare enforced and that the provisions of any relevant advisory Codes of Practice are recognised and exhibitor and trader is responsible for the safety of all equipment including electrical generators and gas applianceswhich should be tested prior to use and the report be made available for inspection by the Show Director, if requested.

10 Usersshould ensure that such equipment is operated in a safe manner and that in the event of such equipment catching fire, theappropriate means to deal with the incident is available on site. The Society will not be responsible for any accident that mayoccur from the machinery or equipment belonging to any exhibitor or trader, and it is a condition of Entry that each exhibitoror trader will hold the Society blameless, and indemnify it against any legal proceedings arising from any accident caused byan exhibitor s or trader s machinery or prior written approval of the Secretary is required before any Hazardous Substance can be brought onto the bringing a Hazardous Substance on to the Showfields must ensure that it is transported, handled and stored in a Stand Exhibitors will be responsible for the safety of the general public visiting their stand, ensuring that all exhibitsare safe and that adequate escape routes are provided.
