It wets and disperses readily in a verybroad range of aqueous and solvent basedcoatings. The grade is known for its highopacity, excellent colour and TR92 pigment is a very wellestablished grade, launched after many years ofdevelopment and subjected to continuousincremental improvements to ensure it gives thehighest levels of performance across a widerange of applications. The success of TIOXIDE TR92 pigment is reflected in the broadusage that this grade has achieved, since it isnow used in coatings, plastics and specialitiesapplications (See Figure 1). The flexibility of TIOXIDE TR92 pigment isemphasised by the variety of coating applicationsin which it is incorporated.

3 26 Page 3 Following intensive work to continuouslyimprove grade performance, TIOXIDE TR92pigment is now produced more consistentlyand with better optical performance than everbefore. The grade already has an excellenttrack record for critical performanceindicators such as colour, opacity and good colour performance of TIOXIDE TR92 pigment can most easily bedemonstrated in industrial applications, whereresins tend to be colourless. In Figure 2 (left),colour results (L and b values) are shown for analkyd/MF paint pigmented with TIOXIDE TR92pigment and other key competitive opacity results (contrast ratio at 20m2/lspreading rate) are shown for an acrylicemulsion paint in Figure 3. Compared to aseries of other well established competitivegrades, the performance of TIOXIDE TR92pigment is generally amongst the Figure 4, results for a third criticalperformance indicator, gloss, are shown.
