Morethan 1800 units manu-factured and shipped tomore than 60 reliability and gooddesign has gained res-pect within the paperindustry, processingindustries and in muni-cipal water or Tomal Polymer Make-up UnitProven in practicePolyRex is a turn-key automaticmachine for batch-wise prepara-tion and metering of polymer solutions from powdered or liquid PolyRex machine will feed anadjustable flow of powdered orliquid polymers and an adjustableflow of preparation and dilutionwater. The PolyRex is using a step-by-step mixing system toeffectively hydrate and mix thepolymer to a homogenous andactivated polymer solution.

2 Thefirst step is the hydration system,where the polymer is wetted, thesecond step the water accelera-tion taking place in the water ejec-tor, and the third step the efficientbut gentle agitating in the mixingtank. 3 User friendly controlsThe PolyRex unit is easily operated via the logical PLCdisplay in the control panel. Electric equipmentAll electrical equipment andinterconnecting cables are fitted in accordance with SS-EN60204-1. MaterialsThe powder feeder, the sup-port stand and the powderhopper are made of carbonsteel Euronorm FE 360 BFNpainted with 40 m alkydpri-mer and 60 m acryl top tanks, the agitator and thehydration system are made ofstainless steel AISI 304 andblasted with glass pellets. The water armatures and theejector are brass, whilst allpipework is - Optional equipment Vacuum conveyorEnsures a dust free workingenvironment, without any directcontact with the polymer. Hopper level switchAt low level in the powder hopper a level indicator givesan alarm signal.

4 Dosing pumpPump motors can be either fit-ted with mechanical variator orcontrolled via a frequency con-troller. The complete module ismounted on a console and fit-ted with electrical automation /connection. Remote signalcontrol for the pump can be supplied. Electromagnetic flowmeterFor easy and accurate mea-suring of the dosing pumpcapacity, an electromagnetic flowmeter is mounted in thedosing line prior to the dilutionwater system. Dilution water/static mixerThe water and the stock solu-tion are added simultaneouslyto the dosing line to producethe final concentration. Ensuresa homogenized solution at thedosing point via the staticmixer. Liquid polymerFor easy conversion from dryto liquid polymer there is achangeover switch located onthe front of the control takes place in thehydration system to obtain the clearest possible polymersolution.

5 The equipment con-sists of a dosing pump and anon-return valve with hoseconnections. Stainless steel executionsAll units can be equipped withsupport, piping and all valves instainless steel AISI 304/316.
