4 This Induction Day (I-Day) marked the beginning of Plebe Summer, the military indoctrination and training period that helps new Midshipmen Candidates develop morally, mentally, and physically, which serves as the foundation to military life. I-Day 2019 was a momentous occasion that honored the tradition of the Academy , in addition to the young men, women, and their families, as they committed to beginning the journey of navigating their future as our next generation of leaders.
