2 See Town of WAUKESHA Bulky Item & Holiday collection Schedule HOLIDAY SCHEDULE - Advanced Disposal recognizes the following Legal Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Your day of service is one day late on weeks when a holiday falls on or before your pickup day. HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE - Bag and place in wheeled cart. All normal household Refuse such as non-recyclable paper, food waste, plastic bags, broken toys, ceramics, light bulbs, sawdust, polystyrene, cool ashes, etc.

3 Will be collected. Please bag garbage to keep materials from blowing in collector s eyes, spilling on the roadway and to keep the cart clean. Advanced Disposal is not responsible to clean unsanitary carts. Do not dispose of yard waste, recyclables and household hazardous waste in garbage cart. recycling bins must be placed within 2 ft. of the edge of the road or shoulder on one side of the driveway. The wheeled cart should be placed within 2 ft. of the edge of the road or shoulder, on the other side of the driveway. Keep wheeled cart away from poles, signs & mailbox.

4 COMMINGLED RECYCLABLES - Place bin at road for weekly collection . Recyclables such as tin & aluminum cans, clean foil pans, glass bottles & jars, and plastic bottles, jars & jugs marked with #1 or #2 should be mixed together in recycling bin. Caps/lids may be kept on. Labels need not be removed. Please do not dispose of recyclable materials in plastic or salt bags. * Recycle Bins (new or replacement or additional) are available at the Town Hall* RECYCLABLE PAPER & CARDBOARD - Newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, household office paper, cereal & snack boxes, beverage carriers, paper egg cartons, paper towel rolls, tissue boxes and paperback books should be flattened and contained in paper bags or tied in bundles, and placed on top of or beside commingled recyclables.

5 Corrugated cardboard must be flattened, cut in pieces and bundled. Cardboard bundles should be no larger than 3 x4 x10 . Bundles of cardboard must be placed on top of commingled recyclables or beside bin. Z:\Documents\Deputy Clerk\New Resident\ welcome Packet\Advanced Disposal Letter Bulky Items collection Appliances, Christmas Trees, etc. - All large items including furniture, carpeting, large metal, appliances and extra garbage (in cans or bags no larger than 35 gallons in size and 60 pounds in weight), are to be placed at the road for collection .

6 Also included are small items such as automotive batteries, tires (two per collection ), drain oil (contained in one gallon or larger sealed containers) if left next to the recycling bin on Bulky items collection days only. The Bulky Item collection does not include construction or remodeling materials, yard waste and hazardous or infectious waste. The Bulky Items collection will be on the 4th (not always the last) Tuesday of each month from homes with a regular Tuesday collection . Homes with a regular Friday collection will be on the 4th (not always the last) Friday of each month Advanced Disposal will not be responsible for any items left within ten feet of garbage on Bulky Items collection days which are disposed of in error.

7 Note: Residents with up-the-drive service will need to place their bulky items at the road for collection . Construction or Remodeling Materials Construction or remodeling materials are not included in service provided. Please contact Advanced Disposal at (262) 367-6040 to arrange special pick up. A fee will be charged to be paid at the time of collection . Latex/Water Based Paint: - Dry Out and Dispose in Household Trash Dry water based paint before disposing in trash. Suggested drying materials are cat litter or sand. See paint disposal detail sheet contained in this packet.

8 Carpet All carpet is collected on Bulky Items collection Days. Carpet and carpet padding must be cut in four foot lengths, rolled and tied. Rolls can be no larger than one foot in diameter and have a 60 pound weight limit each. Items Not Included in Service Rock, dirt, stone, concrete, brick, landscape timbers, yard waste, brush, construction and remodeling materials, fire logs & business related materials will not be collected on Bulky Items collection days. We would have to estimate a charge before making collections of these types of materials.
