2 While reviewing this publication, the Florida Traffic Crash Statistics Summary may not reflect the same totals as additional sub-tables throughout this document. This is due to the nature of Crash reporting and fields that can be reported with one to many selections. For example, a Non-Motorist such as a Bicyclist can be reported with up to two separate Safety Equipment selections. This may increase the number of reported injuries and fatalities when looking at a specific Safety Equipment value. The information contained in this Traffic Crash Facts annual report is extracted from law enforcement agency reports (HSMV.)
