1 JULY 2011. A Public Service Agency TRAFFIC VIOLATOR SCHOOL CLASSROOM LOCATION LIST. IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ. Any person(s) involved in the offering of, or the soliciting for, a Completion Certificate for SCHOOL attendance in which the person receiving the certificate does not attend, or does not complete the minimum required time of CLASSROOM instruction may be found guilty of violating Section 134 of the Penal Code, a felony. All classes must be comprised of 400 minutes of instruction, excluding time for registration, breaks and lunch. It is illegal for a TRAFFIC VIOLATOR instructor to intentionally cut instruction time short. FINDING A SCHOOL . The schools are listed by each county in which the SCHOOL provides instruction.

2 The list is arranged alphabetically, by county and alphabetically, by judicial district within each unconsolidated county. Following the name of the county or district is a list of the cities where classes are offered. Each city is given a corresponding number. The city numbers are noted after or below each SCHOOL name to show the cities where a specific SCHOOL offers classes. TRAFFIC VIOLATOR SCHOOL Classes provided in foreign language instruction are provided on pages 12 through 14. Locate a TRAFFIC VIOLATOR SCHOOL CLASSROOM LOCATION nearest you at: COURT. A court may refer you to a TRAFFIC VIOLATOR SCHOOL at any time. However, California Vehicle Code Section mandates that only one citation in an eighteen (18) month period be masked from public view on your driving record.

3 The eighteen (18). month period is calculated from citation/violation date, not class attendance date. CVC Section 42005 prohibits courts from ordering or permitting a driver with a Class A, Class B or commercial Class C license from attending TVS for the purposes of dismissing a TRAFFIC violation even if the vehicle operated at the time of the violation was not commercial. This also applies to those drivers's who operate commercial vehicles without a commercial license. If a driver attends TVS and is not eligible to have a violation dismissed, DMV will report the violation on the driver's record. Effective January 1, 2008, Assembly Bill 645 requires courts to adjudicate all major (2 point) violations; courts will be prohibited from sending drivers who commit major violations to TRAFFIC VIOLATOR schools for dismissal.

4 If you need an extension of time, please contact the court which imposed the sentence. The Department of Motor Vehicles has no authority to grant extensions of time; only the court that sentenced you has that authority. Unless otherwise instructed by the court, you may attend any SCHOOL listed in any area. When you have completed the course, the SCHOOL will issue you a completion certificate. It is your responsibility to return the certificate to the court. FEES. In addition to any court fee, a fee will be charged by the SCHOOL . A fee of $ may be charged by the SCHOOL to issue a completion certificate. Effective January 1, 2008, Assembly Bill 758 allows a SCHOOL to charge an additional fee not to exceed $ , plus the certificate fee of $ , for replacement of a lost, stolen, or mutilated completion certificate.

5 CANCELLING A CLASS. Effective January 1, 2008, Assembly Bill 758 allows a SCHOOL to charge the standard fee for classes that are cancelled provided a notice of cancellation of a class is given to the student at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class, or if the class was canceled based upon exigent circumstances beyond the control of the SCHOOL .
