He was also the Head of the Department for three years from 1987 to 1990. Subsequently he took voluntary R. BALAKRISHNAN (Physics) He is now serving as a Guest faculty At Anna University, Guindy, Chennai since Aug 2013 and handling classes for -Material Science, Engineering and Engineering MURALIDHARANHe has been well recognized as Innternational WELDING Technologist and he is promoting WELDING activities in the southern parts of India through several WELDING Training and development in Industries and academic Institutions.

4 His COURSE PERFORMERS retirement from the Indian Institute of Technology in the year 1998 after teaching and doing research in the areas of nondestructive evaluation and metal casting for nearly 30 years and later he taught at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore from 1998 to 2004. Presently he is stationed in Chennai and is working as a consultant to M/S Sundaram Brake Lining, Chennai and a few steel foundries. He has published multimedia educational CDs and conducts Level III orientation courses. Dr. O. Prabhakar obtained his and in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai and in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. His primary areas of interests are nondestructive evaluation and metal retired as Manager in Corporate Quality-Chennai in Feb 2013.

5 He has 34 years of field experience in NDT & Quality Audit and surveillance activities in the Global recognized organization Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in various acted as Secretary- ISNT Chennai Chapter He is one of the Faculty of ISNT Chennai Chapter and promoting NDT activities of the organization since 1988 onwards. He occupied himself as course director for several ASNT-SNTTC-1A Certification Training Courses in various NDT methods as organized by ISNT Chennai Chapter and several academic Institutions and to the professional Institutions like IIW and ISNT are worked in several Industries at abroad in high positions. He is having 46 Years of Industrial and field experience in the WELDING and Erection of Pressure Vessels, Process Columns, Storage Tanks of Cone roof type and Floating roof type for oil refineries, communication towers and also adequate knowledge of machining and maintenance of factory equipments and transport vehicles, preparation of quality manuals in line with ISO 9001/ ISO 3834 ISO 14731 / and ISO 9606 standards requirements / quality assurance systems / and Training on the importance of quality in the system by educating the employees FACULTY Highly experienced faculties from reputed organizations / institutions with wide experience in the field will also be assigned to share the sessions with case studies & FEE: Rs.
