2 Our methodologies are Outreach, Education, Missions, Worship, and Nurture, which are based on the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. TB C Mission Statement As the children learn about the hymns of our faith, we are happy to share with all of you these hymn sketches. The November hymn of the month ranks as one of the most familiar ones in our hymnal. It was written by a Methodist minister named Johnson Oatman, Jr. It is known all over the world and was received in Great Britain in the 19th century with huge enthusiasm. November Hymn of the Month Count Your Many Blessings The tune s composer is E. O. Excell, a well-known name in early gospel hymnody and recognized as one of the finest song leaders of his day.

3 This hymn is an expression of gratitude for all God s goodness to us. Perhaps you could read from Ephesians 1: 3 and then sing it with your family as you observe Thanksgiving Day and count your many blessings in your homes this month. You may also email or call me to sign upfor this event. Any 50+ folks are We have been blessed for almost ten years with wonderful pastoral leadership through Ronnie. Since God has now called him to serve with the Alabama CBF, we are beginning the process of seeking God s guidance and searching for a new Pastor.

5 I thought it would be good to provide everyone a little insight into how we proceed from here. There are two sources for procedural direction: our Bylaws, and precedent. The bylaws don t go into great detail but simple say that: .. the nominating committee will recommend to the Church a search committee of no fewer than five members. The Search Committee will prayerfully select and interview candidates and present a candidate to the Church congregation. The Search Committee will work with the personnel committee to develop a job description, salary and benefit package for the candidate. The Search Committee s recommendation of a candidate will constitute a nomination for the position. Election will be by secret ballot, with a super majority (two thirds) vote of those present and voting being necessary for a choice.

6 Our precedent provides additional guidance for the membership and responsibilities of the search committee. For example, we have always had representation from the deacon body and the personnel committee on the search committee. Also, the search committee has also been charged with the job of securing an interim pastor while the search is underway. This responsibility also included the task of finding someone to fill the pulpit on a week to week basis until an interim was found. Our current status is that the nominating committee is prayerfully working to identify and recommend a search committee consistent with the requirements of our bylaws and our precedent. Tut Smith is the chair of the nominating committee and these folk covet your prayers during this process.

7 When they are TBC Search Processready, we will call a special Church conference to hear and vote on their recommendation. As far as filling the pulpit , Ronnie was kind enough to arrange for a number of folks to be available to serve for the coming weeks while we get our search committee in place. Our staff is working with these folks to ensure that we have good preaching every Sunday. We should be covered through the month of December so we have a little time to get the rest of the process moving (thanks Ronnie!). As we get a search committee in place, we will seek their opinion as to whether they need additional assistance in filling the pulpit week to week and/or finding an interim. This might be in the form of a separate committee but this has not been determined at this time.

Steve Ryan Through the years, Trinity has developed several seasonal ministry projects. These range from ministry to children just down the street and all over the world; to helping provide food to the elderly; to a Church fellowship; to a variety of ministries during the Blitz. I hope you can find an area in which to serve. Over the next couple of months we have several opportunities for ministry. Franklin Graham s Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Dedication: November 7. Please pick up a form in the Gathering Area then return a filled plastic shoebox on or before November 7.

9 Angel Tree from Morris Elementary School: November 7-December 12. Again this year we will be providing gifts for needy children from Morris Elementary School. Please select an angel, purchase gifts to be given to the child, then return them to Trinity before December 12. Fall Blitz: Nov. 21 from 2-5pm (with dinner at 5pm). This year all the projects will be connected to our It s Time ministries. This will include winterizing homes for MAP, home repairs for MAP, packing Weekend Backpack Snacks, doing landscaping at Morris Elementary School, and other projects. 25 CASA Christmas Boxes: December 8. The Madison Assistance Program is requesting that we again provide 20 Christmas food boxes for the elderly in Madison.

GlennFall and Christmas Ministry Opportunities817 Regal Dr SW #A Huntsville(256) 489-7868 Trade Fair is a non-profit organization that supports cottage industries and farmers around that world by offering their goods for sale at the Trade Fair Marketplace in Huntsville. It is run completely by volunteers and new merchandise has arrived for Christmas. In addition to Christmas ornaments and decorations, Trade Fair has food stuff, coffee, jewelry, and home decorations. Trade Fair is open Monday Saturday from 9am to Fair MarketplaceCrossLinks Dinner and a Movie welcome to join our merry tribe. After we have eaten all the chili, we will make our selves comfortable and watch the movie, Amazing Grace.
