Section 1 #18 RFP111317K-DB TSPLOST CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING and inspection services 1-1 SECTION 1 INTRODUCTION PROJECT DESCRIPTION Fulton County, Georgia ( County ) is requesting CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING and inspection (CEI) services which are required for contract administration, inspection , materials sampling and testing for the TSPLOST CONSTRUCTION projects.

6 Through the issuance of this Request for Proposal ( RFP and/or Proposals ), the County is soliciting Proposals from qualified Proposers for the CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING and inspection services to perform constructability reviews of plans and specifications prepared for projects prior to CONSTRUCTION letting. Schedule and conduct pre- CONSTRUCTION conferences, routine CONSTRUCTION coordination meetings, and review and maintain records of plans, specifications, shop drawings, revisions, correspondence, warranties, monitor each CONSTRUCTION project and prepare inspection reports documenting progress and etc.

7 Proposals provided in response to this RFP that comply with the submittal requirements set forth in Section , including all forms and certifications, will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria and procedures described in Section Based on the results of the evaluation, the County will award the [insert project description here] to the most advantageous Proposer based on the cost and the evaluation factors set forth in the RFP. METHOD OF SOURCE SELECTION: This procurement is being conducted in accordance with all applicable provisions of the Fulton County Code of Ordinances and the specific method of source selection for the services required in this Proposal is Code Section 102-375, Competitive Selection Procedures for Professional and Consultant services .

9 SUBCONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES Potential prime contractors submitting a bid on this project for Fulton County and are seeking subcontractors and/or suppliers can advertise those subcontracting opportunities on the County s website, under Subcontracting Bid Opportunities . PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE The County will hold a Pre-Proposal Conference, on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11:00 , in the Purchasing Bid Conference Room of the Department of Purchasing, Fulton County Public Safety Building, Suite 1168, 130 Peachtree Street, , Atlanta, Georgia 30303.

10 Attendance at the Pre-Proposal Conference is voluntary for responding to this RFP, however Proposers are encouraged to attend. The purpose of the Pre-Proposal Conference is to provide information regarding the project and to address any questions and concerns regarding the services sought by the County through this RFP.
