Astaldi Canada Inc. is a 100% Astaldi s Company focused on the Canadian market. It is currently involved in the execution of a CAD1 Billion contract for the construction of major civil works for the Muskrat Falls Hydroelectric generating facility Project on the Lower Churchill River, NL.
2 This huge project entails the construction of an intake, powerhouse, gated spillway and transition dams, with a generating station of 820MW capacity. Works are planned to last approx. 4 years. Turnover Coordinator This position will report to the Quality Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful progression of all documentation and work processes required for Turnover and completions. Responsibilities Ensuring major components for Turnover and completion are transitioned in a timely and organized manner. Ensuring Turnover is in compliance with Client and company policies, procedures and standards. Executing and monitoring compilation of Turnover documentation deliverables.
3 Developing and maintaining system Turnover definitions and schedules. Providing planned dates for package handover to client. Managing completion punch lists and ensuring timely completion of all outstanding work and Turnover documentation. Providing weekly and monthly reports with regard to the status of system completions. Interpreting and clarifying, when necessary, system scoping and numbering. Compiling all Turnover documentation to be included in Turnover dossier. Liaising with Client to ensure client satisfaction based on contractual requirements. Other responsibilities as required. Knowledge and experience Minimum 10 years of industry related experience. Technical background and/or work experience in heavy civil construction Hydro Electric projects is considered an asset. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro and Blue Beam. Experience in Aconex is considered an asset.
4 Familiarity and understanding of QA/QC documentation, Turnover processes and systems, drawings and diagrams. Familiar with requirements as set forth under ISO 9001 2008 Quality Management Systems. The ideal candidate will be organized and excel at multitasking while being able to work effectively at performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of concentration. Strong technical and communication skills are required. Must be able to work independently and as a team player and learn quickly in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Applicants must be willing to commit to a 14/7 days rotation on a 10 hour shift in Goose Bay, Labrador. This position will be located at the Muskrat Falls site.
