YEAR OF MERCY: Too many families throughout the Washington metropolitan area struggle simply to put food on the table. Many of these low-income families turn to the Catho-lic Charities SHARE Food Network to buy their own affordable groceries each month. Through the merciful support of countless donors and volun-teers, SHARE s assistance reaches more then 40,000 people every year! In December alone, more than 9,000 holiday hams and food packages were sold and delivered to families. Then, just before the New Year, the staff and volunteers at SHARE immediately turned around to expand their support by moving from their 25-year-old warehouse into a new state-of-the-art facil-ity.

5 Now, the SHARE Food Network is better pre-pared than ever to help low-income families find good, affordable food.
