2 Writes periodicals for ERB Newsletters, magazines and feature articles in newspapers for the purpose of disseminating information about the institution to the general public and stakeholders. Co-ordinates and arranges public awareness programmes such as briefings, press conferences and outreach programmes. Disseminates ERB decisions and other relevant information on the operation of the institution to stakeholders using various communication channels electronic and print media. Drafts responses to media queries promptly in line with the media policy. Engages stakeholders by organising public awareness events. Monitors and analyses media coverage on the ERB and energy sector in general on a daily basis and drafts appropriate responses where necessary.

3 Manages information content for the ERB website. Provides protocol services to ERB VIPs as and when required. Undertakes any other duties as assigned by superior. Requirements Excellent writing and communication skills Good interpersonal skills Fluency in English and local languages understood by consumers. Team player Self-motivated, able to work under pressure with minimum supervision to meet demanding media deadlines Has exposure to use of social media platforms Proficiency in computer skills Minimum Qualifications Grade 12 with 5 Acceptable O levels. Job Title: Engineer Fossil Fuels (X3) [Lusaka (2), Kitwe (1)] ERB Grade: Five (5) Reports To: Senior Manager Fossil Fuels Supervises: None Background The ERB seeks to recruit a dynamic and suitably qualified person to fill the position of Engineer Fossil Fuels.

4 Job Purpose The purpose of this job is to carry out performance and compliance monitoring of licensed undertakings in the fossil fuels sub-sector in order to ensure their compliance to prescribed technical standards, safety and licensing requirements set out by the ERB. Main Duties and Responsibilities Carries out technical inspections of fossil fuels facilities to ensure adherence to prescribed technical standards, safety and licensing requirements. Prepares inspection reports highlighting the compliance levels of the inspected undertakings for submission to Management for information or action. Maintains a database of all undertakings in the fossil fuels sub sector to facilitate development and implementation of regulations and compliance mechanisms and the monitory of performance and efficiency trends.

5 Collects samples of petroleum products at random and organizes laboratory tests and analyses as a quality assurance mechanism. Carries out on- the- spot investigations in the event of an accident and prepare a report with recommendations for remedial actions. Reviews and analyses major infrastructure developments in the fossil fuels sub sector in consultation with relevant bodies such as Zambia Development Agency, ZWMA, ZABS, CCPC and ZEMA. Provides on request technical advice to the Licensing and Enforcement Department and Pricing and Economic Regulation Department of ERB to ensure timely delivery of services to stakeholders, on pricing reviews and license reviews Prepares monthly reports on the activities of the section for Management attention Performs any other duty as may be required by supervisor from time to time.

7 Job Purpose To identify staff training and development needs, develop a training plan, identify training providers and oversee the implementation of appropriate training initiatives to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks. Main Duties and Accountabilities Conduct training needs analysis Identify current and future staff training and development needs through job analysis, performance appraisal and regular consultation with supervisors and heads of departments. Develop an overall or individualized training plan that addresses identified needs Oversee the training of individuals or groups of employees using a blended learning approach Develop training materials for in-house courses Collaborate with in-house resource persons on the delivery of in-house trainings Conduct in-house training where necessary Develop and implement effective orientation and induction programmes for staff Assess and evaluate training and development programmes, and produce relevant reports Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with supervisors and heads of departments Implement.
