Verizon Number Transfer PIN Process Verizon Number Transfer PIN: March 24, 2020, Verizon Wireless updated communication regarding the intent to implement a new policy whereby ALL. Consumer Postpaid Account customers will obtain a Number Transfer PIN to use when porting away from Verizon Wireless. The updated communication announced the decision to postpone the customer launch for the Number Transfer PIN as a result of COVID-19. Our environment has become more stable and a new launch date of June 3, 2020 is planned. An additional reminder will be sent 14 days prior to launch. As previously communicated, this change is being implemented to protect against unauthorized port out activity. At the customer's request, a 6 digit Number Transfer PIN will be generated by the customer at the account level that must be used on Wireless Port Requests (WPRs) in the password/PIN field.

After this change is implemented, Verizon Wireless Billing Account PIN Codes will no longer be used to validate port outs for Postpaid Consumer lines. Billing Account Numbers will still be required to match in addition to the Number Transfer PIN. The following slides provide some details on how the new Process will be implemented. 2.
