Virginia Department of fire Programs CY-18 Funded Training Calendar Vision: The Virginia Department of fire Programs (VDFP) will be a nationally recognized leader in enhancing public safety throughout the Commonwealth.

5 Virginia Department of fire Programs CY-18 Funded Training Calendar If you are new to the fire service and interested in taking a course, please contact the Division Office in-which the course is located to register for the course and for additional course information. For additional information on becoming a firefighter please visit the agency website at -students. If you have a login for the fire Services Training Record System you can register for the course you wish to take once it is posted to the system and/or view courses by going to the fire Service Record System at Funded Training Programs are general posted to the training system 60-90 days prior to the start date of the course.

6 The program comes off the website when it has reached its maximum enrollment or is within ten days from the start date. VDFP coordinates and delivers fire emergency services education and training Programs for the fire and emergency response community, public, law enforcement and industry for the purpose of protecting and defending the commonwealth against the loss of life and property. VDFP offers training Programs across Virginia through our Division Offices. If you are unsure of what Division you need call 804-249-1990 for more information on available training Programs .
